Like the wind, we were only passing through...and like a brief wind, probably made little impression, but the people we came across had a profound effect on all of us. Totally unpretentious, these charming natives reflected not only the land they occupy, but the recent history which they've painfully grown out of. Though, in my eyes, they are organically beautiful, humble and unassuming to an extreme, essentially they are survivors. If you detect a hint of sadness in the eyes of these people, it is for good reason which I will share in my next blog post.
