...swift and spectacular as a Seagull
As far away as possible from either seacoast and as unusual as it seems, here on the Great Plains in the Midwest we have yearly visits from flocks of Ring Billed Seagulls. I tracked these clever migrants to a nearby lake not far from my own nesting place. Strong and graceful, they are a delight to watch maneuver. It's been said, eagles are seagulls with a good hairdo. With a soaring wingspan they do move with the same kind of grace and acrobatic beauty. Here are some of their poses they shared with me.
