SO HELP ME, HANNAH!!!

an old baseball phrase not too many remember...

Say hello to Hannah Maher. She was one of my favorite students in all my photography classes. She sat up front, laughed at most of my jokes and generally tolerated my banter...that's usually good enough for an A+...

Actually, Hannah is a very special person, gifted in many ways and a lot of fun to be around. She runs like the wind, flies like an eagle and wades through tornadoes...quite a lady!

We agreed to get together for a little shoot sometime and finally got around to it...

You might have noticed I used her pic on my website homepage and the one below for an ad in our 2014 Lincoln Today magazine...

GOODBYE 2013...

I normally don't take my camera along on my run route, but decided this evening to capture the 'end of the year' since it was not coming back again. It was really nippy so the fingers were numb and stiff, but I was glad to be able to share my little moment with those who can relate to 'being there' and being inspired while enjoying a good walk or run...

THE GRAND OPENING...

Last evening we had a grand time opening the new 'Designer Masterpieces and Art Gallery' in Colombo, Sri Lanka... 21 of my photographs were printed and displayed in this lovely new gallery. My daughter, Subha was once again the straw that stirred the drink! She not only makes everyone smile, but did a great job curating the show. We knocked it out of the ballpark!

 Here are some of the images I printed for the show...

The name of the show is 'Paradise Island'...funny how often Sri Lanka is referred to as 'Paradise'. I suppose in our efforts to find the most appropriate description, that's about the highest praise available for the exquisite beauty of this place...
